Kim is recognized across Canada for her tireless dedication to women’s rights and women’s issues. She worked extensively with youth, men and women during her 30-year career in and around the Canadian Legal system and on June 30, 2014, Kim was appointed a member of the Order of Canada for advocating on behalf of women who are marginalized, victimized or incarcerated, and for her research on women in the criminal justice system. She’s also the executive director of the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies (CAEFS) and the Ariel F.
