This fall at Carleton University’s Art Gallery (CUAG) you can visit Norval Morrisseau: Medicine Currents which showcases an exclusive collection of Morrisseau’s paintings, drawings and objects, co-curated by Carmen Robertson (Art and Architectural History/ ICSLAC / IIS) and Danielle Printup, CUAG’s Indigenous cultural engagement coordinator. You can read more about this important exhibit here in an article by Alyssa Tremblay.
Visiting with Morrisseau, also hosted by CUAG, is a free public gathering centered around stories—visual and oral—inspired by the art and legacy of Anishinaabe artist Norval Morrisseau (1932-2007) and Anishinaabeg medicine teachings on November 18-19 from 11 am to 4 pm.
