Multifaith Electronic Calendar

To aid Carleton community members in learning more about various cultural, religious, and spiritual days observed by those in our community, Carleton University has acquired access to the interactive Multifaith electronic calendar maintained by the MultiFaith Action Society.

The Multifaith calendar cover which depicts a house in the distance with rolling hills and many trees, done as a painting.

The Multifaith electronic calendar identifies many holy days and significant observances. By becoming more familiar with different observances, we can work to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion and help to create welcoming and supportive spaces for students, staff, and faculty.

This resource can be helpful when planning events and meeting dates. It can also be used as a tool when working with students and employees on religious accommodations. Carleton accommodates students and employees who, by reason of religious/spiritual obligation or observances, must miss a compulsory academic event such as an examination, test, assignment deadline, laboratory session or work-related commitment. For those interested in accessing or exploring accommodations, learn more by visiting our Accommodation Guidance page.

There are various features on the Multifaith Calendar such as the ability to export observances into your Outlook calendar. While the Multifaith Calendar resource is comprehensive it is not intended to be exhaustive.

If you have questions about the religious accommodation policies and practices at Carleton, email EIC or call EIC’s office at (613) 520-5622, to speak to an EIC team member.
