Please join me in welcoming Kim Howson to our new position as Outreach and Development Coordinator for the Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies. Many of you will already know Kim, who recently finished her MA with us and has given talks at the university on her areas of research surrounding endangered youth and human trafficking. Kim already has extensive experience in the NGO community and with various outreach projects. We are extremely happy to have someone of her quality on board with us.
Kim will be working in a number of fields. She will take the lead in designing a strategy for our website and social media; initiating and following up on outreach efforts with relevant government departments, NGO’s and the business community; coordinating a number of events that EURUS will be holding over the next academic year; and leading students in their involvement with the Institute, among other tasks.
