Faculty of Public and Global Affairs Advantage

The Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (EURUS) is part of Carleton’s Faculty of Public and Global Affairs (FGPA), a community of academic units that deal directly with matters of importance to global affairs, government and civil society. FPA offers its students a number of valuable opportunities, including:

• Carleton University Student Leadership Initiative (undergraduate)
  FPGA is actively involved in the Carleton University Student Leadership Initiative, an immersive co-curricular certificate supporting leadership development of upper-year undergraduate students from Carleton’s five faculties. It offers a unique opportunity for a small cohort to discover and grow leadership potential through interactive workshops featuring conversations with experienced leaders, as well as reflective and collaborative learning activities

• IPAF 4900 research mentorship opportunity (undergraduate)
  
  IPAF 4900 is a 0.5 credit course that enables you to learn about research by collaborating with a professor on his or her research project

• Dean’s Honour List (undergraduate)
  
  Every year, the Faculty of Public and Global Affairs honours students who have achieved a GPA of 10.0 or higher by including them on the Dean’s Honour List.

• FPGA Student EDI Research Award (undergraduate)
  
  The establishment of this annual award is to recognize the importance of, and to encourage student research in, equity, diversity and inclusion and reconciliation-related topics. The Dean’s Office funds an undergraduate and graduate student award each year.
