The Directors of the Russia-Canada Business Council (RCBC) have presented EURUS Professor Piotr Dutkiewicz the Distinguished Service to Canada-Russia Relations Award for his exemplary commitment to relations between the two countries. Prof. Dutkiewicz is the first recipient of this award which was created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the founding of the RCBC. The RCBC is a joint initiative between the Canada – Eurasia – Russia Business Association (CERBA) and the Russia Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists (RSPP).
Dr. Dutkiewicz is internationally recognized for his efforts in bringing together academics, private enterprises, and other experts to work collaboratively on key issues of Russia-Canada relations. In the past three years, Prof. Dutkiewicz has co-edited four books, presented at and coordinated a variety of international colloquiums, attended the 10th Anniversary of the Valdai Discussion Club, and was awarded Carleton University’s Faculty of Public Affairs’ Research Excellence Award.
