The Jean Monnet Network on Transatlantic Trade Politics is pleased to announce its second annual summer school, which will take place at Carleton University in Ottawa/Canada on July 6-12, 2023.

The summer school focuses on the political economy of transatlantic trade; topics discussed include the politicization of trade relations, the growing importance of geopolitical concerns, debates about inclusive trade, and the nexus between trade and identity. The summer school will be taught by professors from the universities involved in the Jean Monnet Network, as well as invited experts.

The summer school is a non-credit course designed for MA or early-stage PhD students. It will take place in a face-to-face format on the campus of Carleton University. All participants must be present in Ottawa between July 6 and 12, remote participation will not be possible.

More information on the conference program, as well as an application form, is available here. Students can apply to be considered for financial support. The application deadline is April 30.

The Jean Monnet Network on Transatlantic Trade Politics is supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
