The Institute of EURUS has 4 M.A. students presenting in this conference, their profiles are below:

Davina Basse is an MA candidate at the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies at Carleton University. Her research focuses on German-Russian relations, the security relationship between the EU and NATO, and European security policies in relation to North America and the Arctic.

Bridget Healy is a first-year Master’s student in the European Union studies stream at the Institute of European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (EURUS). Her work focuses on immigration comparative immigration policies in the EU, Canada and the United States for highly-skilled
workers. Previously, Bridget studied legal and procedural barriers for foreign entrepreneurship and urban development in the Greater Boston Area and currently works in immigration research and consulting in the private sector.

Kyle Kostashuk is an M.A. student in European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at Carleton University. He focuses his studies on the role of language requirements and language policies in the field of migration. He has completed internships at the UNHCR, the Immigration and Refugee Board, and the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship.

Demyan Plakhov is a MA student in the Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at Carleton University.
