EURUS is happy to host a lecture by Professor Dr Łukasz Zamęcki on the topic of (Il)Liberal Democracy? Political Changes in Poland after 2015. After legislative and presidential elections in 2015, Poland became an international example of democratic backsliding and illiberal democracy.This presentation will examine political speeches, views of Polish citizens in small cities and villages and the perception of how “illiberal democracy” can be caused by “too liberal” policies.
Łukasz Zamęcki, PhD in political science, assistant professor at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies (University of Warsaw). Deputy Dean of Faculty of Political Science and International Studies. He will present with colleagues Agnieszka Rothert and Jacek Wojnicki.
