The Chair in Slovak History and Culture at the University of Ottawa,
with the support of the Faculty of Arts,

and the Embassy of the Czech Republic,

“The Czech and Slovak Republics: Twenty Years of Independence, 1993-2013“
This event will be held on October 4-5 in Tabaret Hall, University of Ottawa,
550 Cumberland Street.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of these events, this international conference will bring together academics from the two republics to present papers based upon their latest research in their respective countries. Knowledgeable North American scholars will comment on their presentations.
*The conference will be held in the English Language.
