Event Description:
Canada is recognized globally as a leader in the settlement of newcomers; between 2015 and 2025, Canada welcomed more than 50,000 Syrian refugees, more than 40,000 Afghan refugees and over 300,000 Ukrainian nationals. As the Director General at Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada responsible for Settlement and Resettlement, Corinne and her team developed innovative policies and strategies for each arrival group, perfecting models to adjust to specific needs. Partnerships (government to government; private-public; and partnerships with civil society) played a critical role in the settlement process.
About the Speaker:

Following her retirement from IRCC (2023), Corinne has co-founded a policy consultancy and started to work as a Senior Advisor for the Metropolis Institute and the Association for Canadian Studies.
