- Sunday, September 4

Opening Ceremonies
5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Description: Meet your team leaders and volunteers. Get a rundown of the week’s schedule. Participants will see a presentation from the EngFrosh planning committee which will get you ready for the week ahead. The ceremonies will officially start at 6:30 p.m.
Location: Carleton Alumni Field (outdoors)
Team Building
8:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Description: Team leaders will be hosting an assortment of ice breaker games to help facilitate introductions amongst first year students.
Location: Carleton University Campus (outdoors)
Dance Party
10:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Description: Hit the dance floor to some of the top songs of summer as well as some throwback jams. This event is part of the Central Fall Orientation schedule with EngFrosh participants welcome to attend.
Location: Ravens Nest

Beach Day
5:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Description: EngFrosh takes their activities to the beach. Join your teammates for a day full of outdoor activities and challenges with Wildness Tours. Participants have the opportunity to enjoy whitewater rafting (advance registration with additional payment required).
Location: Wilderness Tours (Off-Campus); Buses depart from and return to Carleton University Campus
Team Dinner
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Description: Once participants return back to campus, teams will be provided a chance to socialize with each other while having dinner at Leo’s Lounge.
Location: MacKenzie Building
Board Games Night
8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Description: Play one of the classics or learn a new favourite, EngFrosh brings out the board games for everyone to enjoy.
Location: MacKenzie Building
Silent Disco
9:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
Description: Want to rock out to your favourite song while not waking up the neighbours? Can you keep the beat when the music is only playing in your headphones? When you arrive you’ll receive a pair of special wireless headphones. You can adjust the volume and choose between different music stations with a flip of a switch. There’s no loud music that you have to talk over. Plus, you get to match up different dance moves throughout the night. This event is part of the Central Fall Orientation schedule with EngFrosh participants welcome to attend.

Academic Orientation Day
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Description: Introducing you to the Faculty of Engineering, this is your opportunity to meet professors and staff within your academic department.
Location: Raven’s Nest
EngWIDE and Expo
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Description: Carleton University Student Association has over 200 clubs and societies that provide programming that covers all areas and interests of Carleton students and the Faculty of Engineering has specific clubs that cater to engineering students; this is your opportunity to attend a trade show style set up to learn about the various clubs and societies available
Location: Ravens Nest and Fieldhouse
Team Building
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Description: Team leaders will be hosting an assortment of ice breaker games to help facilitate introductions amongst first year students.

EngFrosh Clue
6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Description: Can you figure out who is the guilty culprit? EngFrosh teams will be working together in the dramatized version of CLUE.
Location: Minto Building – Room 2000
EngBowl
6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Description: EngBowl is a great time to make use of Carleton’s athletic facilities and play some games! The Fieldhouse will be available to play any sports you would like with the available equipment and let your competitive spirit run wild! There will also be large games run every hour such as manhunt, giant musical chairs, a giant hopscotch course, and sardines within the athletics facilities.

Athletics Night
6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Description:Description: A great way to learn about the various sporting venues on campus.
Here’s what to expect!- Massive Musical Chairs with EngFrosh at 7:30 PM
- Chill Room all night: located next to the Athletics Welcome Desk. Come and meet fellow Ravens, play cards, colour and relax.
- Soccer in half of the Fieldhouse – 6:30-9:00 PM: pick up a ball and play!
- Games with EngFrosh in half of the Fieldhouse – 7:00-9:00 PM
Classes: - Zumba in the Combatives Studio 7:15-8:00 PM
- Glow Yoga in the Combatives Studio 8:15 – 9:00 PM
- Pool access: 8:15-9:15 PM

Description: Join your team for a picnic dinner just across from campus at the Hartwell Locks in advance of the night’s programming. Meet your teams at the Mackenzie Quad!
Location: Hartwell Locks (off-campus)
PEO, OSPE and Equity and Inclusive Communities Presentations
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Description: Presentations from our engineering partners followed by a discussion about healthy and safe classes and workplaces being facilitated by the Equity and Inclusive Communities Team from Carleton. Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) & Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) to be in attendance.
Location: Kailash Mital Theater (Southam Hall)
Heads Idol
8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Description: Watch your team’s Heads display their musical talent, or lack thereof, at one of EngFrosh’s greatest traditions.

Bus Tours
5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Description: Visit and learn all about Ottawa’s hot spots. Participants will get a chance to tour Ottawa on a chartered bus while seeing all the attractions that our great city has to offer.
Location: Various locations across Ottawa (Off-Campus); Buses depart from and return to Carleton University Campus
Movie Night (Men in Black)
9:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Description: Join us for an out-of-this-world, interactive movie experience.
Location: Richcraft Hall
CUSA Jeopardy
8:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Description: Participate in everyone’s favourite trivia game, JEOPARDY. Being hosted by Carleton University Student Association (CUSA) this event is part of the Central Fall Orientation schedule with EngFrosh participants welcome to attend.

CityFolk Festival
6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Description: Fall Orientation is proud to partner with CityFolk Festival to provide our participants with day-pass admission for the lineup of concerts taking place on Friday, September 9. Students must present their Fall Orientation / EngFrosh wristband and their Carleton Student ID to pick up their tickets on campus. Tickets can be picked up from 430 Tory on Friday, September 9 from 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.Location: Lansdowne Park

MarketSCOTT
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Description: Join your team Downtown Ottawa in the Market for a day of fun challenges and scavenger hunting. Participants will be asked to meet their team leaders at pre-determined landmarks spread across the Market. Students are recommended to use their U-Pass to travel downtown.
Location: Downtown Ottawa, various locations (off-campus)
Overnight Design Competition
7:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.
Description: Join your team in an overnight design competition where each team will take over a level of the Parking Garage #9 as they spend the evening (and early morning) building floatation devices to compete in EngFrosh Raft Racing the following morning. Each team will be given supplies and specifications to ensure their design is water-ready; but teams will have plenty of freedom for creativity.

Raft Racing
6:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Description: The highlight of the week as teams will race their floatation devices that were designed and created the night before. Teams will compete in heats of 3, with the winner of each heat moving on to the championship race. Will your raft be the fastest? Will your raft sink? Be there to cheer on your team and join in on the excitement.
Location: Carleton University Pool
Closing Ceremonies
2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Description: Officially wrap up the week with your team and find out the winners of EngFrosh 2022!
Location: Alumni Park (outdoors)
- Weeklong Events

Scavenger Hunt
Description: Teams will compete in a weeklong scavenger hunt where participants can collect special items or take photos from areas across campus and throughout Ottawa. Strict rules are enforced; no scavenger hunt taking place during class time.
EngFrosh Tradeup
Description: Each team will receive a small trinket, and will work through the week to trade that trinket to get the most valuable item possible. You never know when a paper clip can become a piano!
