Carleton Scholars Blog on Québec’s Role in Canadian Studies

In May 2012, Carleton’s School of Canadian Studies hosted a bilingual international conference, “Where is Québec in Canadian Studies? / La place du Québec dans les études canadiennes.” Conference organizers Richard Nimijean and Anne Trépanier recently co-edited a special issue of the International Journal of Canadian Studies vol. 50 (2014), featuring selected papers from the conference.

In a guest post on the The University of Toronto Press Journals Blog, they discuss their motivations for organizing the conference and the importance of the articles for understanding Québec’s changing representation in the field of Canadian Studies.
