Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth Owusu-Peprah (M.A. 2018), who has recently gotten a job as a Women’s Advocate at the Naomi’s Family Resource Centre in Winchester, ON. This centre assists women who are fleeing domestic violence.
“My job is both challenging and rewarding. But the best part of my job is seeing women highly traumatized by emotional, physical, and sexual violence fleeing abuse heal and begin a new chapter of their lives. The persistence of many of the women that I work with is such an inspiration; and their determination to overcome the horror of their pasts creates a positive community to work in. I couldn’t think of a more rewarding career after graduating from my M.A. in WGST at Carleton!!”
