International Education Week November 16th -20th 2026

Celebrated since 2000, International Education Week showcases the impact that international education has in preparing students for the world and supports international engagement efforts. Join Carleton in celebrating our international community and the benefits of global learning.

This year’s theme is Building Belonging

It can be hard to start over in a new place with different customs and experiences. Feeling like you belong somewhere doesn’t happen overnight and there can be barriers along the way. Finding belonging grows through shared experiences, supportive relationships and opportunities to connect. Throughout the week, we’ll be providing practical resources and opportunities to support success while celebrating the experiences and perspectives that international students bring to our community.

Whether you’re here for one term of for your entire degree, all students are welcome at all of the events listed below.

Throughout the week we will be showcasing photos from our Through a Global Lens Photo Contest sharing the same theme.

Register for all events through our events calendar.
