All People All Pathways Monthly Group for Faculty & Staff

September 2025 – April 2026

Carleton University has partnered with the Community Addictions Peer Support Association (CAPSA) to bring monthly All People All PathwaysTM peer support meetings for people looking to explore their relationship with substances as it relates to their health. All People All PathwaysTM is a peer support group facilitated by individuals with living experience with substance use and substance use disorders. It is an open, drop in group with no monthly commitment or expectations of abstinence and is also open to family and friends of those experiencing stigma and/or harms related to substance use. These meetings are confidential, there is no reporting or attendance tracking involved. You can learn more about CAPSA’s approach to confidentiality here.

The purpose of this monthly peer support group is to allow individuals, impacted by substance use, share their experiences about what has helped them on their journey, and provide a safe and aware environment for those seeking help to ask questions, free from stigma or discrimination.

Each session, the meeting focuses on a different topic. There will be an educational component followed by discussion. Those in attendance are welcome to ask questions or provide suggestions based on their personal experience. All People All PathwaysTM is meant to create a safe space and what is shared with the group is kept confidential to respect participants and their experiences.

The Staff/Faculty online group takes place on the second Wednesday of each month from 12:00 – 1:00pm. Feel free to join later than 12:00pm and leave earlier than 1:00pm, if you need to. You will be welcome regardless of what time you join or leave the meeting. Our group is inclusive of all individuals, regardless of where they are in their wellness journey, who are seeking increased wellness with respect to their health related to substance use, and their families, allies, and professionals. All are welcome to attend our meetings.

All People All PathwaysTM is a peer support group facilitated by individuals with living experience with substance use and substance use disorders. There are separate groups for students and faculty/staff. Our meetings for faculty/staff will run on the dates listed below:
