Summer Readathon

There’s nothing quite like getting lost in a good book. Whether you enjoy escaping into a fantasy world, following a heartwarming romance, or discovering new ideas and perspectives, reading offers a chance to slow down, recharge, and enjoy some well-deserved time for yourself.
Beyond being a relaxing pastime, reading can support overall well-being by reducing stress, sparking creativity, and helping us connect with experiences and viewpoints beyond our own. Every page turned is an opportunity to learn something new, expand your horizons, and nurture your imagination.
This July, join colleagues from across the Carleton community for the Summer Readathon! The Readathon is a fun and welcoming way to celebrate a shared love of books, discover new favourites, and connect with others through reading.
If you’ve been looking for a reason to unplug, take a break from screens, and curl up with a great book, consider this your invitation. Happy reading!
Below are reading prompts to guide your book adventures throughout August should you be looking for some inspiration.

A Group Book Chat via Microsoft Teams will be created for participants to stay connected, discuss bookish things, and update the community on how your reading is going.
AND, YOU CAN WIN PRIZES!
Every registered participant will be entered into weekly draws. A name will be drawn every Friday throughout the month of July and the winner will be contacted by email. Prizes include bookmarks made by Indigenous and local artists, locally made book sleeves, stickers, and book-ish swag.
Please complete the registration form below to be added to the Teams Book Chat as well as to be entered to win the weekly prizes.
Happy Reading!
