Carleton History Professor Jennifer Evans was recognized by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at yesterday’s vin d’honneur for her commitment to research.

Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Research Awards are available to assist FASS faculty members in advancing a major piece of research. This award will support the final writing phase of a book project Prof. Evans is completing on social media and Holocaust memory together with Meghan Lundrigan and Erica Fagen. The monograph, under contract with Bloomsbury UK, will be the first of its kind to interrogate social media texts and images as sources that reinforce as well as construct vernacular forms of memory. It promises to make a significant contribution to Holocaust Studies, memory studies, and media and communications.
