The James Beard Awards, sometimes called “the Oscars of the food world,” are awarded for excellence in cuisine, culinary writing, and culinary education.  The awards are voted on by more than 600 culinary professionals, and winners will be announced in New York City on 25 April, 2017.

French Wine: A History has already won an award at the Gourmand Awards in China.
