Jennifer Evans will present her research on the postwar situation in Cold War Berlin at a conference sponsored by the City University of Hong Kong in April. This material, from her book Life Among the Ruins: Cityscape and Sexuality in Cold War Berlin (Palgrave Macmillan, 2011), assesses the fluidity of borders and boundaries in the divided city.

The conference brings together scholars from Germany, the United States, China, France, Singapore and Hong Kong for three days of discussion about the separate and comparative dimensions of postwar rebuilding in the shadow of World War II.
