Professor Jennifer Evans gave two papers in Europe in late June. One, delivered at the international Memory Studies Association meeting in Madrid Spain, examined ways in which historians can analyze Facebook to better understand how far-right groups use historical referents in their online appeal to adherents.
The other, at the ALMS Conference in Berlin on Queering Memory, showcased her work with audio-visual artist Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay. Their project on the libraries of queer elders will form the basis of an exhibition in the fall of 2020 at the Carleton University Art Gallery.
