On May 28, 2019, Professor Sonya Lipsett-Rivera will give the keynote address for the Simposio Internacional: Género y Resistencia at the Pontificia Universidad de Chile in Santiago. The title of her talk is “Las identidades de género: rompiendo las cajas.” The symposium is part of a Project sponsored by the EU.
On June 1st, 2019, she will begin her Senior Research Fellowship with the María Sybilla Merian Center for Advanced Latin American Studies. As part of this fellowship, she will be giving a talk in a symposium in Weingarten, Germany on June 29, 2019, entitled “Patriotas y prostitutas: el género y la nación en la historia latinoamericana.” She will be at the Merian Center from July 1 to August 14, 2019.
