Professor Rod Phillips spoke (by Zoom) to 24 members of the History Interest Group of the Kanata branch of the Canadian Federation of University Women this week. His topic was wine in the French Revolution and he described the ways in which Revolutionary policies set the course for the French wine industry and French wine consumption in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

This is the subject of Rod’s current research which is being carried out with the support of a SSHRC Insight Grant.
