David Dean Delivers Keynote
David Dean delivered a keynote lecture entitled “Philately in Troubled Times” to graduate students and faculty attending the International Federation for Public History’s 8th annual summer school held at the University of Wroclaw, Poland on June 9, 2025. The summer school brings together leading graduate and postgraduate students, professionals, and independent scholars from around the world for an intense week of presentations, roundtables, workshops, and visits. David spoke to the SSHRC-funded project he is leading on the public history of stamps and stamp collecting and showcased a database exploring history on stamps researched and created by Carleton graduate students Declan Da Barp, Charlie Ham, Charlotte Johnson, Joy Karinge, Trevor Peeters, Patricia Rousell, and Jamie Wood.
