Essay Guides
The Department of History has produced a guide to assist undergraduate students in writing their essays. It covers everything from planning a paper to using the appropriate writing style and writing proper footnotes. The History Undergraduates Society (HUgS) has also created a guide to assist students.
Need help with citations? The History Undergraduate Society (HUgS) has created a citation guide, endorsed by the Department of History’s Undergraduate Committee, to assist Carleton students in navigating the Chicago Manual of Style! Please reach out to HUgS on our website or by email if you have any questions. And feel free to take advantage of our one-on-one history assignment workshops!
