If your smartphone’s built-in email client supports Exchange connections, use that as this method also allows calendar and address book syncing.

iPhone and iPad step-by-step (Exchange method)

  1. Open Settings app
  2. Press: Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Press: Add Account…
  4. Press: Exchange
  5. Enter your email:
    • Students: JaySmith@cmail.carleton.ca ← Use your full Carleton email address
    • Staff/Faculty: JaySmith@cunet.carleton.ca ← Use your full Carleton email address
  6. Username:
    • Students: JaySmith@cmail.carleton.ca ← Use your full Carleton email address
    • Staff/Faculty: JaySmith@cunet.carleton.ca ← Use your full Carleton email address
  7. Password: your MyCarletonOne password
  8. Description: Carleton Email or anything else you like to identify this account
  9. Press: Next
  10. Press: Next
    By default, syncing of your Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Reminders to your iPhone is enabled. You can disable any of these here, if you wish.
  11. Press: Save
  12. Your Accounts are shown;
  13. Press: Carleton Email
    By default your iPhone syncs just the last 3 days of your Carleton Email, and pushes just your Inbox to your iPhone. Here you can override these settings.
  14. Press your iPhone’s Home button and Open Mail app
    Your Carleton Email Inbox and Account will be shown

Android step-by-step (Exchange method)

  1. Press Apps
  2. Press Settings
  3. Press Accounts
  4. Press Add account
  5. Select Exchange
  6. Enter your email:
    • Students: JaySmith@cmail.carleton.ca ← Use your full Carleton email address
    • Staff/Faculty: JaySmith@cunet.carleton.ca ← Use your full Carleton email address
  7. Press Next
  8. Password: your MyCarletonOne password
  9. Press Next
  10. It will show an overview of the account settings and Press Next
  11. Give the account a name and Press Next
