Why is my upload speed so slow?
It may be your internet or it may be Kaltura.
While you don’t need a fast internet connection to download Kaltura Personal Capture or create screen recordings, having a good internet connection is important when you’re ready to upload your media to MediaSpace.
We do not offer support for your household internet setup, but you can test your internet connection speed by going to fast.com. Click the “Show more info” button to see your upload speed. A minimum of 5 mbps is recommend for uploading to MediaSpace.
The time it takes to upload a media item depends on your upload speed as well as the size of the file. Personal Capture recordings that include both the screen and your webcam are twice as large and will take longer to upload and process. Consider capturing only your screen if you have poor internet upload speeds. We also recommend that you use a wired ethernet connection rather than wifi.
