There are 820 faculty members at Carleton; many are alumni and are incredibly attached to the university. They are leading teachers and innovative researchers. And they rarely say no when asked to help Carleton in some way. Others are not so engaged and, in fact, see no role for themselves in helping to promote Carleton.
Our Strategic Impact Group chose to examine how we can assist faculty members to become better ambassadors for the university. How can we do more to nurture our biggest fans and get their stories out more broadly? And how can we help them have an impact on others who have not been so involved?
We came at this problem from very different mindsets and backgrounds. But that has worked in our favour, making the journey as important as the end game.
