People with Purpose: MDS Graduate Goundo Diarra
Goundo Diarra is a recent graduate of Carleton’s MDS program who carried out research on factors affecting refugee girls’ education in Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kalobeyei Settlement in Kenya. She is now an Administrative Officer, Durable Solutions for Refugees with the World University Service of Canada (WUSC). Hear from Goundo as she shares more about her research, how she became interested in the movement of people, and why it’s so important to integrate newcomer voices in the research, policies and solutions intended to support them.
