Qualifications and Skills: Candidates should hold a Ph.D., or be close to completion in a discipline relevant to Migration and Diaspora Studies. For each course, preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated research expertise, scholarly publications, teaching experience, and other academic accomplishments in the specific subject area of the course. Professional experience in scholarly organizations, government, or the practitioner community is an asset for all courses, but especially for MGDS 5101 Practicum in Migration and Diaspora Studies. Candidates for MGDS5101 should also have demonstrated experience managing practicum, placement or volunteer programs, ideally in contexts relating to migration or integration.
