Description of Research: The success of the Refugee Olympic Team and growing global attention towards refugee athletes has positioned sport-based complementary pathways as a new area of interest for actors in sport and migration policy. My thesis research applies the tools of policy studies to analyze the Refugee Athlete Stream (RAS) of the Student Refugee Program (SRP) by the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) as a case study of sport-based resettlement pathways, producing a political diagnostic that evidences the actors, interests, arguments and other factors involved in the program’s creation and implementation.
