M.A. in Migration and Diaspora Studies (2025)

Academic and Research Interests:My academic and research interests include; forced displacement, asylum and migration policy, and border governance, security, and mobilization regimes; with particular focus on Canada-US relations, irregular migration, and humanitarian implications.

Additional areas of interest include asylum seekers’ rights within policy frameworks and Canada’s asylum continuum, as well as the roles that mental health, public attitudes, and intersectionality have on refugee resettlement outcomes and pathways to permanent residency.

– Program Officer at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (January 2023 – Present)

– Volunteer Social Media Content & Coordination at Furry Tales Rescue (September 2024 – August 2025)
