Michael Middleton
Michael Middleton is a PhD Candidate within the Department of Political Science and Doctoral Fellow at the Centre for Security and Defence Studies. Prior to arriving at Carleton, Michael held research positions with the Centre for International Governance Innovation and the University of Waterloo. Building off of his previous research on the organizational dimensions of transnational terrorism, Michael now studiesthe evolution of regionalized border security regimes, where migration plays an important role in driving regional agendas. Beyond his work on border security, Michael retains an active interest in international terrorism, Canadian security policy, arms control and security studies more generally.
