The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) welcomed the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, on April 15, 2026, for a packed event titled “Rebalancing the World Order in an Age of Fragmentation.”

The visit brought together students, faculty, diplomats, and members of Ottawa’s policy community for a timely conversation on global security, alliances, and the future of democratic cooperation.
The event opened with remarks from NPSIA Director Teddy Samy and Carleton President Wisdom Tettey, who highlighted the importance of dialogue on international affairs at a moment of global uncertainty.
