Contract Instructor positions in the Department of Philosophy
Carleton University

The appointment of all Contract Instructors at Carleton University is subject to the provisions of Articles 15 – 18 of the CUPE 4600 Unit 2 Collective Agreement. It can be located on the union website at www.4600.cupe.ca.

Expressions of interest are invited from members of the CUPE 4600 bargaining unit and other interested persons to teach the following courses for the 2014-15 academic year:

Fall 2014:

Phil 3306: Symbolic Logic
Phil 3350: Philosophy, Ethics, and Public Affairs

Winter 2015:

Phil 1200: The Meaning of Life
Phil 1550: Introduction to Ethics and Social Issues
Phil 2001: Introduction to Logic
Phil 2003: Critical Thinking
Phil 2501: Introduction to Philosophy of Mind
Phil 2504: Language and Communication
Phil 2550: Moral Psychology
Phil 3140: Epistemology

All courses are subject to budgetary approval and the University reserves the right to cancel any courses with insufficient registration. Some of these courses may be taught by employees who have the right to automatic reappointment.

The minimum qualification is normally an M.A. degree in the appropriate field.
