Dr. Shepherd has joined the Department of Philosophy!
Josh Shepherd received his PhD from Florida State University. After that, he spent four years as a research fellow at the University of Oxford’s Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics. His research involves issues in the philosophy of mind and in practical ethics. He is especially interested in aspects of agency and in aspects of conscious experience. He has published in journals like Noûs, The Journal of Philosophy, and Philosophy and Phenomenological Research. His book Consciousness, Value, and Moral Status should be out in 2018.
