Are you putting things off and waiting until the last minute to complete your coursework? Join our Procrastination Group to understand the black holes of procrastination.
Procrastination may work in the short term as it alleviates immediate anxiety and stress associated with a particular task, but, in the long term it reinforces the feedback loop and becomes a persistent pattern of chronic procrastination.
Changes occur when you practice skills and apply them in your life at home, school and work. Talking about strategies is helpful, but putting them into practice will allow you to notice small successes and build momentum towards your goals.
Join our online procrastination groups, facilitated by counselling interns, learning strategists and coordinators.
What to Expect
Each 50-minute group includes four sections:
- Building skills and revisiting goals from the previous week;
- Identifying thoughts, emotions and behaviours that get in the way of completing a task;
- Sharing advice, tips and hacks to support your peers;
- Setting goals for the week and coming up with strategies to address barriers that can lead to procrastination. Aiming towards commitment to a task and accountability.
