Managing Test and Exam Accommodations
Table of Contents
Once a Notice of Examination (NoE) has been submitted by your professor to the McIntyre Exam Centre for an upcoming test or exam, it is your responsibility to manage your accommodations from the time you receive a request to confirm your participation to the time you are writing your test or exam.
Five Steps to Managing your Accommodations for a Test or Exam
Verify
Verify that your accommodations are accurate when you receive a notice to confirm your participation and accommodation from Ventus for an upcoming test or exam.
- If the accommodations are not accurate, make the necessary adjustment.
- If there are accommodations that are missing and not found in your template accommodations, contact your PMC Coordinator ASAP.
Confirm
Confirm your participation and accommodations 7 calendar days before the scheduled date of your upcoming test or exam.
- You will find a list of unconfirmed exams on the main dashboard when you logged into Ventus.
- You also have the option to opt-out of accommodations for the test or exam.
Verify Details
Verify your exam and accommodation details in Ventus three (3) days before each test or exam.
- You will find these details in Ventus Student Portal in the “Exams” tab, including course, exam type, location, scheduled date, start time, end time, and status.
Report
Report any discrepancies in accommodations to your PMC Coordinator.
Attend
Attend your test or exam on the scheduled date. Make sure to arrive 15 minutes early.
