Schedule for the Day
Time | Activity | Details |
8:45 – 9:25 AM | Arrive, Check-In and Find Your Seat | You’ll be assigned to a seat at a table with some of your peers and a member of the PMC team. During this time you’ll be able to grab some light refreshments and make introductions with your table-mates. |
9:24 – 10:40 AM | Welcome, Presentations and Q&A’s | We’ll spend the first block of our morning hearing from Carleton Prof. Kim Hellemans about what to expect in university classrooms, and from a PMC Coordinator about the basics of PMC and how to access services and accommodations.
Each presentation will have a Q&A. |
10:40 – 10:50 AM | BREAK | |
10:50 AM – 12:00 PM | Student Panel and Student Services Presentations | You’ll hear from PMC students about their experiences at Carleton, and from various Student Services on campus about the services they offer to students. |
12:00 – 1:00 PM | Lunch and Student Services Mini-Fair | Lunch will be provided (Gluten-Free options are available).
At the Mini-Fair, you’ll get the chance to meet representatives from student service departments around campus and learn more about their services. |
1:00 – 1:30 PM | Walking Tour (Optional) | Students will be split into four groups hosted by 2 PMC staff members. Each group will take a short tour around key locations on campus. |
Parking
Visitor parking is conveniently available close to the event building/space in the P9 Parking Garage and P18 Richcraft Hall Parking Lot.
There are a number of other parking options around campus. A complete listing of all parking options and rates is available on Carleton’s Visitor Parking Rates webpage.
Please note that free parking is not available on-campus. All on-campus parking lots require payment.
Finding the Event Space
Once you have parked and/or arrived on campus, make your way to Richcraft Hall – labelled as RB on campus maps.
The event is being held on the second floor of Richcraft Hall, in the Atrium and Conference Rooms (RB 2220, 2224, 2228). When you enter Richcraft through the Main Lobby (North Entrance), you can choose to take the staircase leading to the second floor, or the elevator. The elevator can be found behind the “Sailing Through Time” sculpture (press Floor ‘2’ in the elevator).
When you arrive on the second floor of Richcraft Hall (from the stairs or elevator), turn left and you will find the Richcraft Atrium!
