The Institute of Political Economy is excited to announce our upcoming lecture by the fall 2020 Visiting Professor, Kevin Skerrett!

Kevin will deliver a lecture on Pension Fund Capitalism and the Covid-19 Pandemic in Canada: A Socialist Perspective next Wednesday, November 18th from 19:00-20:30.

Kevin is currently serving as a Fall 2020 Visiting Professor at the Institute of Political Economy at Carleton University. This semester he is teaching two courses, Union Power in Canada Under Neoliberal Capitalism (PECO 5503F) for Political Economy Work & Labour Program and The Political Economy of the Neoliberal State for Sociology (SOCI 5806G). He was a co-editor of the Cornell University Press volume The Contradictions of Pension Fund Capitalism (2018). He is on leave from his work as a Senior Research Officer assigned to pensions at CUPE, the Canadian Union of Public Employees.

This lecture will be moderated by Dr. Stephanie Ross (Associate Professor, Director, School of Labour Studies, McMaster University).
