Before beginning your studies at the Institute of Political Economy where did you study and what program(s) were you enrolled in?

I studied journalism and political science at Carleton University.

What is it specifically that attracted you to study Political Economy at Carleton?

The faculty, reputation for critical research, and small class sizes were a draw.

My areas of research interest include…

International trade agreements, neoliberalism, regulation, governance.

What activities have you been involved in lately? (work placement, work experience, Undergraduate research, research positions, volunteer work, awards, travel, favourite books)

I have been researching international regulatory cooperation at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and am co-authoring a book chapter on the topic (with Scott Sinclair) for a forthcoming anthology on regulatory capture in Canada.

What advice would you give to a prospective Political Economy graduate student?

Try to get to the supplementary readings, spend time browsing the shelves at MacOdrum, research questions that really interest you, and test your ideas out in articles for independent media and blogs.
