Carleton University and University of Ottawa are pleased to offer a new round of the Shared Online Projects Initiative (SOPI), allowing online module and course development to be shared between the institutions for the upcoming Fall and Winter terms.
Through this initiative, instructors at the two institutions can apply for a grant of $8,000 each to join their efforts in developing online modules or courses, as well as teaching activities suitable for bimodal/HyFlex delivery. This collaborative work provides more flexibility in online course and program delivery, as well as high-quality learning experiences for students across both institutions.
Grant recipients will be fully supported by instructional designers, educational technologists and librarians from the participating institutions during the design and development phase of their online projects.
Instructors interested in this initiative should submit a proposal to both tls@carleton.ca and viceprovost-acad@uottawa.ca no later than midnight on May 21, 2021.
Find out more about the SOPI grant and the proposal process here. If you have any questions, please direct them to tls@carleton.ca.
If you are interested in hearing about some of the projects that have already been developed through this initiative, join us for the SOPI Showcase on Thursday, April 29 from 2 to 5 p.m.
