Carleton students and grads are invited to attend the in-person Fall Career & Networking Fair! Career & Networking Fairs help improve your employability and networking skills and can give you an edge in a competitive job market.
Benefits of attending for 3rd year, 4th year, and Grad Studies students:
- Learn about full-time and future opportunities. With graduation on the horizon, the fair is your chance to explore roles and see who is hiring.
- Learn about hiring trends and employer expectations. The fair offers insights into what employers are looking for in new hires. This information helps you tailor your resume, polish your skills, and prepare for interviews with a clear understanding of current industry demands.
- Practice interview and networking skills. Engaging with recruiters face-to-face lets you practice introducing yourself, discussing your background, and answering questions – all essential skills for upcoming interviews.
- Maximize your time. You’ve got a busy schedule! Career & Networking Fairs bring multiple employers under one roof so you can learn about a variety of organizations without leaving campus.
Anyone attending the Career & Networking Fair is encouraged to attend the Prepare for the Fair events: Resume Clinic (September 30 – virtual), Optimizing Your Networking Strategies and LinkedIn Profile (October 7 – virtual), Preparing for Interviews (October 8 – virtual), and Resume Pop-up (October 9 – in person).
