On behalf of the Battle Royale Organizing Committee, in association with the IEEE Student Branches of the University of Ottawa and Carleton University, we invite YOU to participate in the 14th annual Battle Royale Gaming Tournament!
What is Battle Royale?
Battle Royale is the largest conglomerate gaming event in Ottawa dedicated to offering a wide array of competitive and casual gaming, prizes, trivia, contests, raffles, and giveaways. Battle Royale is a 72-hour online event involving people coming together to design, develop, and play various computer based games. The Tournaments Battle Royale 14 will feature League of Legends, VALORANT, and Rocket League, with each game featuring its own tournament and prize pool of up to $590 in total winnings!
New to Battle Royale this year is a Game Development Hackathon(Game Jam)!
In teams of 1 to 4, you can choose to either program a game mechanic or a minigame using the language of your choosing, with no prior game development experience required.
We’re also giving away $410 as rewards for best submissions and for simply participating! In addition, industry professionals will be offering technical workshops related to game development and industry-standard tools and technologies, while students will also largely benefit from the networking opportunities to potential future employers.
