Franz Oppacher ✝

Dr. Oppacher joined the school as a faculty member in 1983 and conducted research in evolutionary computation and artificial intelligence until his retirement in 2015. Dr. Oppacher was honoured in 2005 by IBM Canada as a Pioneer of Computing in Canada. Dr. Oppacher passed away in 2024.
