Student Communication
How We Communicate
The communications staff in Strategic Initiatives are responsible for managing current student communication, including social media, newsletters, Carleton Mobile and the current students website. This team also provides support and guidance to units across the S&E division through working groups and oversight of the Student Communication Policy.
Messaging to undergraduate and special students as a whole, such as through mass messages, is the responsibility of the Vice-President (Students and Enrolment), who delegates the responsibility to the Strategic Initiatives (Students and Enrolment) team.

Student Communication Policy

To achieve this, the policy identifies three guiding principles:
- Consistency: using communication vehicles consistently based on the type of message
- Consolidation: aggregating messages using communication vehicles like websites and newsletters
- Simplification: making it easy for students to find what they need
