Approval Processes for Communications Tools
Carleton Email
Approval process:
- OVPSE oversees requests for Carleton360 and Campaign Monitor administrative access
- Emails must follow guidelines in the Student Communication Policy
- Email administrators must only send emails to their specific audience(s)
- Communication sent by email must be owned by the department or sender and not sent on behalf of another department or person or copied from another communication vehicle
- Email administrators must not send out email out to students if it is not in regard to university business

- Newsletter submissions should go to the communications officer in Grad Studies
Faculty student newsletters
Approval process:
- Individual faculties produce regular newsletters targeting their specific audiences

- Submit faculty-specific news to the corresponding newsletter through faculty communications officers
- Communications officers have individual process and timelines for submissions
- Campaign Monitor is the university’s email marketing platform. Campaign Monitor access requests and resources are available through the intranet

- Individual departmental administrators request computing accounts for new faculty members and contract instructors. Access to Brightspace is provided with your faculty computing account. Training is done through TLS with resources available on the Brightspace website
