L. Pauline Rankin, Provost and Vice-President (Academic) and David Hornsby, Vice-Provost & Associate Vice-President (Academic) hosted an informal gathering today to celebrate the 2023 Carleton University Teaching Award recipients and their achievements.

The recipients announced earlier this year included: 

  • Iain McKinnell (Biology and Biochemistry), Ashley Thompson (Neuroscience) and Matthew Sorley (Psychology), recipients of the Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award;
  • Ahmed Hassan (Civil and Environmental Engineering), Karen Sewell (Social Work) and Trish Audette-Longo (Journalism and Communication), recipients of the New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award;
  • Julie McCarroll (Linguistics and Language Studies), recipient of the Excellence in Blended and Online Teaching Award; and
  • Steve Truttmann (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering), recipient of the Excellence in Learning Support Award.

The celebration included the awarding of trophies to the honourees in attendance.
