Title: Qubit Technologies: Building the Hardware of the Quantum Age – Tuesday, May 26th (REGISTER BELOW)
Khaled Mnaymneh will explore how the race to build practical quantum computers is driving a new generation of advanced hardware technologies. Rather than focusing on science fiction or hype, the presentation will explain what qubits actually are, why they are fundamentally different from classical computer bits, and why building stable, scalable quantum systems remains one of the hardest engineering challenges of our time.
The talk will cover emerging approaches including superconducting circuits, semiconductor qubits, photonic systems, and quantum networking, while highlighting the materials, manufacturing, and infrastructure needed to turn laboratory demonstrations into deployable technologies. Designed for a broad audience, the session will also examine the strategic and economic implications of quantum technologies for industry, national security, communications, sensing, and advanced manufacturing.
Tuesday, May 26th, 9:00-11:00am (Register Below)
