Once a Notice of Examination (NoE) has been submitted by your professor to the McIntyre Exam Centre for an upcoming test or exam, it is your responsibility to manage your accommodations.

5 Easy Steps for Managing Your Test/Exam Accommodations

STEP 1: Verify

Verify your accommodations are accurate in Ventus for an upcoming test or exam.

  • If the accommodations are not accurate, make the necessary adjustments at least 14 days before the test or exam.
  • If there are accommodations that are missing and not found in your template accommodations, contact your PMC Coordinator ASAP.

STEP 2: Opt-Out

If you do not wish to receive accommodations for an upcoming test or exam that is scheduled at the McIntyre Exam Centre (MEC), you can cancel in Ventus seven (7) days before the date of the test or exam. After the seven-day deadline, email you PMC Coordinator, who will cancel on your behalf.

For technical assistance with cancelling or opting-out of test or exam accommodations, see Student Module 4 – Test and Exam Accommodations.

STEP 3: Check

Check the Ventus Student Portal three (3) days before your test or exam to view your seating (date, time location) and accommodation details that are in place.

  • You will find these details in Ventus Student Portal in the Exams tab, including course, exam type, location, scheduled date, start time, end time, and status.
  • Ventus will automatically send a confirmation email to your Cmail address three (3) days before the test or exam.

STEP 4: Report

Report any discrepancies, problems or issues with your accommodations to your PMC Coordinator.

STEP 5: Attend

Attend your test or exam on the scheduled date. Make sure to arrive 15 minutes early.
